The last few days I received some more direct QSL cards and a few more via the bureau.

It was great to find the QSL of Don, HS0ZEE in my mailbox last friday:


I still have to scan some more QSLs and hope to update the QSL cards pages in the next few days.

3B7C QSL cards arrived

Two QSL cards from 3B7C were in the mail today. I logged this St Brandon DXpedition on 17m, 20m, 40m and 80m bands all in SSB.

Peru IOTA DXpedition

Jorge OA4BHY, Daniel DL5YWM, Bodo DL3OCH and René DL2JRM are going to activate two rare IOTA's in december 2007 and january 2008 with the callsigns OC6I and OC1I. Besides HF they will also operate 2m and 23cm EME from Pere's capitol Lima.

The scedule is planned as follows:

Dec 26 - Dec 27	Lima
Dec 28 - Dec 30	Isla Blanca SA-098 as OC6I
Jan 02 - Jan 07	Isla Lobos de Tiierra SA-076 as OC1I (HF and EME)
Jan 08 - Jan 12	Lima (2m and 23cm EME and HF)

Unexpected award

A big envelop was in my mail this week. I was surprised to find an Award in it.
It's the Short Listening Period Award 2007.
I joined the SLP Contest 3 times this year.

The Contest was held 8 times during major contests. I ended at the 10th place and I think thats not bad for my first contesting.

In fact I participated 2.5 times, because during the latest SLP Contest (simultaneously with CQ DX WW SSB) the conditions on 10 and 15 meter were rather good and I preferred to log some stations for QSLing rather than the short and fast contest logging.
Next year I hope to spent some more time on the contests.

Antarctic Activity Week 2008

The 5th Antarctic Activity Week will be from 18 through 24 February 2008.
About 26 stations have allready credited to participate next february. A list is at the waponline website.
